Dr. Weisman’s Story
There once was a little girl who decided they wanted to be a doctor. To see the globe (grew up around Mt. Vernon, IN), help others, be a leader and make sure there was a little less pain in the world. And guess what…she did it! [She is a graduate from Kansas City University of Medicine)
But then Dr. Weisman (she/they) learned a lot of harsh realities include severe professional burnout early in her career (for more on this story, check out BurntouttoBadass.com)
She vowed to never feel that again! She worked in an emergency room, did telemedicine before telemedicine was cool, discovered correction medicine, taught students and launched her own online businesses (Doctor Me First) from 2017-2021.
Dr. Weisman has always been interested in interesting people which is why she specialized into Addiction Medicine and received her board certification in December 2023 after practice for 9 years.
In 2024, it felt like time to make a career move and so this practice was born.
Dr. Weisman identifies as a person in the queer community. She loves to have real talk with her patients (which might include a few swear words from time to time). She also is a mother by choice for choice to 3 lovely human dragons.
In her downtime, she raises alpaca, rescues far too many animals and can never read enough fantasy fiction books.
